I have an old shed, garage or outbuilding I need gone.
An unused outbuilding can become a safety problem long before it finally falls. Roof sections sag, animals move in, brush hides the foundation and the footprint occupies the best part of a yard or future project area. Demolition is more than pushing the walls down; the materials, utilities, access and finished condition all matter.
The structure is leaning, leaking or no longer safe to enter
Vegetation prevents a full exterior inspection
You need the area for a yard, drive, garden or replacement building
Old concrete, posts or debris remain around the footprint
Hauling and disposal are a bigger obstacle than the teardown itself
Why it happens
The condition builds over time.
Small structures can contain a mix of wood, roofing, masonry, glass, metal and household debris. Older buildings may also involve asbestos-containing material, tanks, electrical service, wells or other conditions that change the plan. Ohio disposal and open-burning rules mean debris cannot simply be buried or burned on site.
How Contour Land Ops solves it
A selective, site-specific reset.
Contour reviews access, utilities, likely materials, nearby trees and the desired finish. For suitable sheds, detached garages and small outbuildings, we can plan controlled demolition, load-out and footprint cleanup. Suspected regulated materials require proper evaluation before disturbance, and utility disconnection must be confirmed. After removal, grading, stone or clearing can be scoped around what the owner wants to do next.
Local relevance
Built around Northeast Ohio ground.
Older rural and semi-rural properties from Chardon and Burton to Aurora, Mantua and Chagrin Falls often carry layers of past use: sheds behind sheds, abandoned coops, small barns and improvised additions. Narrow drives, wet lawns and mature trees can make access the defining issue. The right equipment and sequence protect the part of the property that is staying.
